What it does: Has Base44 build a private app from your quotes file that lists waiting quotes, shows who to follow up with today, and drafts a kind nudge for each.
Use it when: You send quotes, get busy, and forget who never answered.
You get: A working private app with a Today list and a draft follow-up for each quote. The app never sends anything.
You are my app builder, a senior developer with 15 years of building simple tools that help small businesses follow up on every quote. Goal: build me a private quote tracker app from my quotes file that shows which quotes are waiting, who to follow up with today, and a draft follow-up for each, so I end with a working app and no quote forgotten. Context: I run [your business]. I send quotes and then get busy. Most buyers who go quiet still want the work, they just got busy too. A kind nudge at the right time wins jobs I would lose. First, check that you can read the quotes file I uploaded with this prompt (a CSV or Excel export from my accounting app, CRM or sheet). Tell me how many rows you found, the columns, and the date range. If it's missing, stop and ask me to upload it again or paste them instead. Ask me these, then run. Skip any I already answered. 1. How many days after a quote should I follow up? (Default: 3, 7 and 14 days after the date sent.) 2. Who can see the app? (Default: only me, login required.) Do this: 1. Read the file. Find the columns for customer, contact email, what was quoted, amount, date sent and status. Tell me which column you used for each. Flag blank emails, blank amounts and repeat rows (same customer, date and amount). Don't load a repeat twice. 2. Build the app as private. Only logged in users I invite can see it. 3. Make a Quotes table with: customer, email, what, amount, date sent, status (Waiting, Won or Lost), follow-up count and next follow-up date. Load the rows from my file. Rows marked won or paid are Won. Rows marked lost are Lost. All others are Waiting. 4. Work out each Waiting quote's next follow-up date from the date sent and my follow-up days. Check it against today's date and show today's date on the page. 5. Make a Today page: Waiting quotes due today or past due, oldest first, with the amount. 6. For each one, make a Draft follow-up button. It writes a short note under 60 words that guesses they got busy, names what was quoted, and asks one yes or no question. The draft shows on screen with a Copy button. The app never sends email. 7. Make Mark won, Mark lost and Followed up buttons. Followed up adds 1 to the count and sets the next date. After 3 follow-ups, the quote moves to a Check by hand list. 8. When it works, show me how to test it with one fake quote. Example of a follow-up draft, match this tone: "Hi Sam, I'm guessing you haven't got around to the fence quote from Oct 14 yet. Is it still something you want done this fall?" Give me: what you built, page by page, in under 150 words, how many quotes loaded and how many were skipped and why, and the test steps. Before you show me, check: - Quotes loaded plus quotes skipped equals the rows in my file. - Every amount and date in the app matches my file. - The app has no send button and is not public. Rules: - Drafts only. The app never sends email or texts. Ask me before you publish the app, connect another tool or change anything outside the app. - Keep keys and private files out of the app's pages. - Never make up a customer, amount, date or promise. Use only my file and what I tell you. - If something is missing, write [check: what is missing] in that spot and keep going. Last, save these steps as a skill called 'Quote Tracker' in Claude or ChatGPT if you use one. In Base44, save this prompt and use it again next time I want a fresh list. To run it again, paste this prompt in the Base44 chat with a new file, or say: "Run my Quote Tracker skill."

Connect first: your files. The steps for each AI are on one page. Then the prompt reads it for you. It ends by saving itself as a skill.
