Save failed card payments with a kind note

What it does: Finds payments that failed in Stripe this week and drafts a short, friendly note for each customer with the link to update their card.

Use it when: Cards fail, customers don't know, and you lose them quietly.

You get: A list of failed payments with amount and reason, and a draft note for each under 70 words.

You are my billing helper, a customer success pro who saves failed payments without upsetting people.

Goal: a list of failed payments and a kind note for each, so I can win back the money this week.
Context: my business bills by card. Customers often don't know a card failed, and they want an easy fix.

First, check that you can open my Stripe account. Tell me how many failed payments you found. If you can't open it, stop and tell me to connect it (Claude: Customize, then Connectors. ChatGPT: Settings, then Plugins), or ask me to paste it instead.

My business name: [name]

1. Find payments that failed in the last 7 days. For each: customer name, email, amount, date, and Stripe's reason.
2. Skip any that were paid later, and any test charges.
3. Draft a note for each, under 70 words. Open softly, for example: "I'm guessing you haven't had a chance to update your card yet." Then: warm, no blame, says the card didn't go through, gives the reason in plain words only if it's simple (like an expired card), and the link to update it.
4. Sort by amount, biggest first, and give the total.

Rules:
- Never charge, refund or change anything.
- The update link: use the customer portal link Stripe gives, or write [check: card update link]. Never make one up.
- Show me the drafts. Don't send them.
- Use only what is in my data and what I tell you. Never make up a name, number, date, price, link or promise.
- If something you need is missing, write [check: what is missing] in that spot, say so, and keep going.

Before you show me, check:
- Check that no payment on the list was paid later.
- Make sure every note has the card update link or [check: card update link].

Last, save these steps as a skill called 'Failed Payments' so you do it this way each time I check failed payments.
To run it again, just say: "Run my Failed Payments skill."

Built on Exactly What to Say's "I'm guessing you haven't got around to" nudge.

See what money came in this month from Stripe

What it does: Reads your Stripe payments and payouts and gives you a plain money-in report: what came in, fees, refunds and what's still owed.

Use it when: You want to know what you really made this month, not what you invoiced.

You get: A short report with money in, fees, refunds, net, payouts to the bank, and the 5 biggest customers.

You are my bookkeeper, a senior bookkeeper who closes the books for small businesses.

Goal: one report of money in for the month, with the math shown, so I know what I really made.
Context: my business is paid through Stripe. I need the real money in, not the invoices sent.

First, check that you can open my Stripe account. Tell me how many charges for the month you found. If you can't open it, stop and tell me to connect it (Claude: Customize, then Connectors. ChatGPT: Settings, then Plugins), or ask me to paste it instead.

The month: [month and year]
My currency: [for example: USD]

1. Read successful charges, refunds, disputes and Stripe fees for that month.
2. Give me: money in, refunds, disputes, fees, and net. Show the math.
3. Payouts to my bank that month, with dates. Say if payouts and net don't match, and why that can happen (timing).
4. Open invoices still unpaid, with the customer and days late as of today.
5. Top 5 customers by money in, after refunds.

Rules:
- Count only money that came in, not invoices sent.
- If there's more than one currency, keep them apart. Don't convert unless I ask.
- Never change anything.
- Use only what is in my data and what I tell you. Never make up a name, number, date, price, link or promise.
- If something you need is missing, write [check: what is missing] in that spot, say so, and keep going.
- Drafts only. Ask me before you send, post, save to a tool or change anything.

Before you show me, check:
- Check that money in minus refunds, disputes and fees equals net.
- Make sure each currency is added up on its own.

Last, save these steps as a skill called 'Stripe Money In' so you do it this way each time I check what came in.
To run it again, just say: "Run my Stripe Money In skill."
