Connect Gmail to Gemini

What you need:

• A Google account

Plan: A Google account, age 13 or up. Keep Activity on. Work or school accounts need the admin to allow it.

1. Go to gemini.google.com. Sign in with the same Google account as your Gmail.
2. In the sidebar, click Customize. If you don't find it, click More first.
3. At the top, click Connectors.
4. Find Google Workspace and click Add. Follow the steps on the screen.
5. In a chat, type @ and pick Gmail.

Test it: Ask: list my last 3 emails.

What it can do: Search, read and draft email. Some AIs can also send.

What it can't do: Most AIs ask before they send. Check each one.

Gmail, Calendar and Drive come in one app called Google Workspace. Google's docs also show Settings, then Connected Apps.
