Connect Gmail to Claude Code

What you need:

Plan: A claude.ai plan.

On claude.ai, add Gmail first: Customize, then Connectors. Finish the sign in there.
In Claude Code, run /status. If it is not your claude.ai login, run /login.
Run /mcp. Gmail shows in the list as from claude.ai.

Test it: Ask: list my last 3 emails.

What it can do: Search, read and draft email. Some AIs can also send.

What it can't do: Most AIs ask before they send. Check each one.

Gmail can't sign in from Claude Code itself.
