Connect Gmail to ChatGPT

What you need:

• A Gmail account

Plan: Any ChatGPT plan has the plugin list. Work accounts may need an admin to turn the app on.

1. Open Settings, then Plugins.
2. Pick Gmail. Select Install plugin if you see it.
3. Select Connect. Sign in to your Gmail account.
4. Read the permissions and approve them.
5. In a chat, type @ and pick Gmail, or open + and pick it.

Test it: Ask: list my last 3 emails.

What it can do: Search, read and draft email. Some AIs can also send.

What it can't do: Most AIs ask before they send. Check each one.

OpenAI says it does not train its models on data read straight from your Google apps, with a few exceptions on its FAQ page.
