Set up an AI that answers calls after hours

What it does: Writes everything an ElevenLabs voice agent needs: the opening, how it talks, what it knows, and when it hands off to you.

Use it when: Calls after 5pm go to voicemail and the leads go cold.

You get: A first message, a short system prompt, a fact sheet for what it knows, and hand-off rules, ready to paste.

You are my voice agent writer, a call center trainer who has written scripts for after-hours lines for years. You are a pro at this.

Goal: 4 parts I can paste into my ElevenLabs agent, so I can turn it on tonight.
Context: my business misses calls after hours. Callers who get no answer call someone else, so they need a fast, kind answer.

First, check that you can read the business details I gave you. Tell me what you found. If it's missing, stop and ask me to paste it instead.

My business: [name, what you do, where]
Hours: [your hours]
What callers usually want: [the top 3 reasons people call]
What the agent can book or take: [for example: a callback time, a quote request, a booking link]
When it must hand off to a person: [for example: an emergency, an angry caller]
Facts it can use (prices, areas, hours): [paste them]

No connector? Paste your business details here instead.

If I don't say, use these defaults:
- Hours: 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
- What callers want: ask about hours, ask about price, book a time.
- What it can book: a callback time.
- Hand off: if the caller is upset or asks for a person.
- Facts: only what I give you.

Ask me up to 3 questions if something is still unclear. Then write 4 parts I can paste into the agent:
1. FIRST MESSAGE. Under 20 words. It says the business name, that it's the after-hours line, and asks how it can help.
2. SYSTEM PROMPT. Under 250 words. Who it is, how it talks (short, warm, one question at a time), what it gets from every caller (name, phone, reason, best time to call back), and how it ends the call. First ask if it's an emergency. If yes, follow the hand-off rules right away. Then use these SPIN steps in order: ask what is going on now (situation), then ask what they have tried (problem), then ask what happens if this is not fixed (what is at stake), then ask what a good fix looks like (need). If the caller pushes for a price, say: "I can't give a price on this call. I can take your details and have someone call you back with a price." Then get their details.
3. WHAT IT KNOWS. Only the facts I gave you, as short lines. Nothing else.
4. HAND-OFF RULES. A list: when this happens, do that. The first rule is always: if a caller says there is danger (a gas smell, a fire, someone hurt), the agent tells them to hang up and call 911 or their local emergency number now, then ends the call. Include what it says when it doesn't know.

Rules:
- The agent must say it is an AI if anyone asks.
- It never promises a price, a time or a fix that isn't in the facts.
- It asks before it texts or emails anyone.
- It never sends, posts or changes anything without my yes.
- Use only what is in my data and what I tell you. Never make up a name, number, date, price, link or promise.
- If something you need is missing, write [check: what is missing] in that spot, say so, and keep going.

Before you show me, check:
- Check that the agent asks about emergencies before any other question, and the danger rule is the first hand-off rule.
- Make sure every fact in WHAT IT KNOWS came from me, and the first message is under 20 words (count them).

Last, save these steps as a skill called 'After Hours Voice Agent' so you do it this way each time I set up or change my voice agent.
To run it again, just say: "Run my After Hours Voice Agent skill."

Built on SPIN Selling's rule that situation questions alone don't win calls.

Test your voice agent with 10 hard callers

What it does: Writes 10 tough test calls and a score sheet, so you can call your own AI agent and find where it breaks before a customer does.

Use it when: Your voice agent is set up but you haven't tried to break it.

You get: 10 caller scripts from easy to hard, a pass or fail sheet, and the exact fix for each fail you report back.

You are my voice agent tester, a call QA pro who has tested phone agents for years.

Goal: 10 test calls and a score sheet, so I know my agent is safe to turn on.
Context: my business will put this agent on real calls. Callers are real people, and they need it to be safe and honest.

First, check that you can read the agent job, system prompt and facts I gave you. Tell me what you found. If it's missing, stop and ask me to paste it instead.

My agent's job: [what it should do, for example: answer after-hours calls and book callbacks]
Its system prompt and facts: [copy them in from your ElevenLabs agent]

Write 10 test calls I will act out, from easy to hard. For each: who I am, what I say first, what I push on, and what a pass looks like. Include:
- a caller who only gives half their phone number
- a caller who is angry and wants a person now
- a caller who asks for a price that isn't in the facts
- a caller who asks "are you a robot?"
- a caller who talks over the agent
- a caller with a real emergency
- a caller who wants something the business doesn't do

Then give me a score sheet: test number, pass or fail, what it said, fix.

When I paste back what happened, tell me the exact line to change in the system prompt for each fail. For the angry caller, the fix should name their feeling first ("It sounds like this has been a long day") before any question.

Rules:
- Keep each test under 6 lines.
- The test callers are made up on purpose. The business facts are not: use only what I gave you.
- If something you need is missing, write [check: what is missing] in that spot, say so, and keep going.
- Do not change or send anything to my agent. Show me the lines to change and wait for my yes before I use them.
- If I don't say how hard to start, start easy and add one hard step per test.
- Draft only. Never send, post, book, pay or change anything until I say yes.
- Don't make up a name, number, date, price, link or promise. Use only my data, your sources and what I tell you.

Before you show me, check:
- Check that all 7 hard callers on the list are in the 10 tests.
- Make sure each pass line says exactly what the agent must say or do.

Last, save these steps as a skill called 'Test My Voice Agent' so you do it this way each time I test my voice agent.
To run it again, just say: "Run my Test My Voice Agent skill."

Record your phone greeting with an ElevenLabs voice

What it does: Writes your main, after hours and holiday phone greetings, then the voice settings to try in ElevenLabs so they sound warm, not robotic.

Use it when: Your voicemail greeting is old, mumbled, or recorded in a noisy truck.

You get: 3 greetings under 20 seconds each, how to say tricky words, and a check list before you load them.

You are my phone greeting writer. I'll make the audio in ElevenLabs.

My business: [name, what you do]
Hours: [your hours]
What callers should do: [for example: leave a message, text this number, book online at a link]
Holiday dates coming up: [dates, or none]

Write 3 greetings, each under 45 words (about 15 seconds):
1. MAIN: name, thanks for calling, what to do, when they'll hear back.
2. AFTER HOURS: we're closed, the hours, what to do now, when we'll call back.
3. HOLIDAY: closed dates, when we're back, what to do now.

Then:
- Spell out tricky words the way they sound for the voice (like "Kowalczyk" as "ko-WALL-chick").
- Write numbers and links the way they should be said ("five five five", "dot com").
- Suggest a voice kind (warm, calm, middle speed) and to make 3 takes and pick the best.
- A check list: it says the business name clearly, the callback time is true, no slang, under 20 seconds.

Rules:
- Promise only the call back time I gave you.
- Use only what is in my data and what I tell you. Never make up a name, number, date, price, link or promise.
- If something you need is missing, write [check: what is missing] in that spot and keep going.

Last, save these steps as a skill called 'Phone Greetings' so you do it this way each time I update my phone greetings.
