Connect Slack to ChatGPT

What you need:

• A Slack account

Plan: Any ChatGPT plan has the plugin list. Work accounts may need an admin to turn the app on.

1. Open Settings, then Plugins.
2. Pick Slack. Select Install plugin if you see it.
3. Select Connect. Sign in to your Slack account.
4. Read the permissions and approve them.
5. In a chat, type @ and pick Slack, or open + and pick it.

Test it: Ask: sum up yesterday in one Slack channel I name. (A read question only.)

What it can do: Search and read messages, channels and files.

What it can't do: It can also post. Use it to read only. Keep every post on ask first, or don't connect it.

Read only for us. In the app settings, pick Always ask or Allow read actions so it never posts on its own.
