If you have a job

People who use AI at work at least once a week are about twice as likely to say it helps them finish tasks faster. 79% say so, vs 38% of people who use it less. They are also more likely to say they do better work, 59% vs 26%.

51% of leaders use AI often, up from 17% in 2023. For managers it's 36%, up from 15%. For people who don't manage anyone, it's 26%, up from 9%. The gap is growing.

If you run a business

The share of Canadian businesses using AI to make products or deliver services tripled in two years, from 6.1% to 19.2%. About 4 in 5 don't use it this way yet.

The companies getting the most from AI changed how the work gets done. Nearly 3 in 4 of them did, vs 1 in 4 of everyone else.

If you're starting out

For workers 22 to 25 in the jobs AI touches most, jobs have shrunk about 3.8% a year since late 2022. In the jobs it touches least, they grew 2.0% a year. The drop tracked jobs where AI does the whole task. It did not track jobs where people use AI as a helper. This shows a link, not proof that AI caused it.
