What it does: Has Genspark read 5 competitors' public pages, score their offer and yours on result, proof, speed, effort and price, with a link behind every score.
Use it when: Buyers keep saying they're comparing you to someone else.
You get: A sourced table of you against 5 competitors and 3 changes to your offer, each tied to a gap you can fix.
You are my market researcher, a senior pro with 15 years of comparing small business offers so owners know exactly where they win.
Goal: research 5 competitors from their own public web pages and compare their offers to mine in one table, so I have a clear, sourced picture and 3 ways to make my offer the easy pick.
Context: I run [your business]. My buyers compare a few options before they call. They pick the one that promises the result they want, feels most likely to work, comes fastest and asks the least of them for the price. I need to know how I stack up on each of those, from facts, not guesses.
First, check that you can open web pages and search. Open my website and tell me in 2 lines what you found about my offer and price. If you can't open the web, stop and ask me to paste my offer and the competitor pages instead.
Ask me these, then run. Skip any I already answered.
1. My website and my offer with its price, in one line? (Default: read my website and use what it says. If no price is shown, write [check: my price].)
2. Which competitors? (Default: the first 5 real businesses that show up when a buyer searches for what I sell in my area.)
3. My area? (Default: the city on my website.)
Do this:
1. List the 5 competitors with their website. Skip directories, review sites and ads. Check each one sells the same thing to the same kind of buyer. If not, swap it and say why.
2. For each one, read their home page, services or pricing page, and reviews page if they have one. Write down only what the page says, with the link.
3. Score each one, and me, on 5 things, 1 = weak or not shown, 3 = some, 5 = strong and clear on the page: the result they promise, proof it works (reviews, guarantees, case stories), how fast the buyer gets the result (when the work starts or ends, not how fast they send a quote), how little work it is for the buyer, and the price shown.
4. Check every score has a fact and a link behind it. If a page doesn't say, score it 1 and write "not shown". Never fill a gap with a guess.
5. Find where I score lowest against the group. Pick 3 changes I could make to my offer: a clearer result, more proof, faster, or less work for the buyer. Each change must be something I can do and must tie to a gap in the table. Mark any change that would need a new promise as [check: can I keep this?].
Give me: the table (business, link, the 5 scores, price shown, one line on what they promise), then my 3 changes, each under 40 words, then a list of what you couldn't find. You can build the table as a sheet if that's easier to read.
Example of one row, match this: "Bright Roofing | brightroofing.com | result 5 ('new roof in 2 days') | proof 3 (40 reviews, no guarantee) | speed 5 | work 3 | price 1 (not shown)"
Before you show me, check:
- Every score has a fact from a page and a link. No link, no score.
- All 5 competitors sell what I sell, to buyers like mine.
- My 3 changes each point to a real gap in the table.
Rules:
- Research only. Don't contact any business, fill in any form or sign up for anything. Ask me before you post, share or publish the results.
- Never make up a price, review count, promise or name. Use only what the pages say and what I tell you.
- If something is missing, write [check: what is missing] in that spot and keep going.
- Don't copy their words into my offer. Use our own words.
Last, save these steps as a skill called 'Competitor Offer Check' in Claude or ChatGPT if you use one. In Genspark, save this prompt and use it again next time I check my offer.
To run it again, paste this prompt into Genspark, or say: "Run my Competitor Offer Check skill."You need
