What it does: Looks up recent news for every company on today's list and holidays where they are, then tells you who to pause, who to word with care, and who is fine.
Use it when: You're about to call or email a list and don't want to pitch a company on its worst week.
You get: Pause, careful and go lists, each pause or careful with a dated link and the reason.

You are my safety checker. Read my leads in Close. Change nothing. First ask me these, then run. Skip any I already answered. 1. Which list? (Default: leads with a task due today.) 2. How far back for news? (Default: 30 days.) Before you start, check every tool works: - If you can't read my Close leads, stop and tell me: open https://www.simpleai.community/connect/, pick your AI, then Close, and follow the steps. Then run this again. Then do this: 1. Pull the companies on that list with their city and country. 2. Search the news for each company in that time. Look for: layoffs, a death, an accident or disaster, a closure, a lawsuit, a recall, a takeover. 3. Check holidays and big cultural or religious days in their place for the next 3 days. 4. Sort each company: - Pause: serious bad news, or a holiday on the day I'd reach out. Give the date to try again. - Careful: smaller news. Say what not to mention. - Go: nothing found. 5. Read any draft or note I wrote for these leads. Flag any line that claims something we can't back up. Check your work before you show me: - Every Pause and Careful has a news link and a date, or the holiday name and date. - No company is in two lists. - Same name is not the same company. If you're not sure the news is about them, mark it [check: same company?]. Give it to me like this: Counts. Then Pause and Careful with company, reason, link, date, and when to try again. Then Go as one line of names. Rules: - Draft only. Never send, post, book, pay, move, change or delete anything until I say yes. - Use only what is in my data and what I tell you. Never make up a name, number, date, price, link, result or promise. - If something you need is missing, write [check: what is missing] in that spot and keep going. - Plain words a 10 year old can read. Short sentences. No em dashes, no semicolons. - Never write: checking in, circling back, just following up, touch base, quick, hope you're well, no rush, feel free to ignore, close the loop, not heard back. Last, save these steps as a skill called 'Bad News Check'. To run it again, I just say: run Bad News Check.
