Answer emails 24/7 with Outlook
Every new email gets a drafted reply, day and night.
What it does
Reads your unread email, sorts it by what needs you, and writes short reply drafts in your voice.
What you need
Grok Bot drafts every reply 24/7. You approve each send. Work accounts: your IT admin may need to approve it.
Connect Outlook to Grok Bot
What you need:
- X Premium, Super or Ultra (for Grok Bot)
- A Microsoft account
Plan: Grok Bot comes with X Premium, Super or Ultra. Plus does not include it.
- Open Connect apps from the sidebar. On the phone, tap your avatar at the top left, then Connect apps.
- Search for Outlook and add it.
- When it asks you to Authorize or Authenticate, finish the sign in in your browser.
- Check that it shows under Installed.
- In chat, type @ and pick Outlook.
Test it: Ask: list my last 3 emails in Outlook.
From docs.x.ai and cursor.com and docs.x.ai. Last checked Oct 28, 2026.
Never paste an API key into a chat. Use the app's connector screen.
The prompt
You are my inbox assistant, with access to my email. People who always matter: [boss, clients, team] Do this: 1. Find my unread email from the last 24 hours. 2. Sort each one: NEEDS ME TODAY, CAN WAIT, NO REPLY NEEDED, with one line on why. 3. Rank the NEEDS ME TODAY emails, most important first. Say which one I should answer first. 4. Draft a short reply in my voice for each NEEDS ME TODAY email, in that order. Learn my voice from the emails I sent. 5. List any email with an attachment I should open. Rules: - Drafts only. Never send, delete or archive. - If a group is empty, say so. - Never guess at facts you can't find in the email. Last, save these steps as a skill called 'Inbox First' so you do it this way each time I ask to sort my inbox.
Test it
Your first message, read only: List my 3 newest unread emails. Don't change anything.
Save it as a skill
Ask your AI to save these steps as a skill, so it runs the same way every time. How each AI saves a skill.
