Connect Apify to ChatGPT

What you need:

• An Apify account (free plan has monthly credits)

Plan: ChatGPT Business, Enterprise or Edu, on the web, set up by an admin or owner (OpenAI help, updated Oct 27, 2026). Plus and Pro can't add a custom MCP server in the current Plugins screen.

1. In ChatGPT, open Plugins. Choose +, then Add custom MCP server.
2. Name it Apify. Under Connection, enter https://mcp.apify.com
3. Pick OAuth. No client ID or secret is needed. Sign in to Apify and approve.
4. Tick I understand and want to continue. Select Create as a plugin.
5. In a new chat, type @ and pick Apify.

Test it: Ask: search the Apify Store for a LinkedIn profile posts scraper. Don't run anything.

What it can do: Search the Apify Store and read any Actor's details and docs. Read the results of runs: datasets, key-value records, run status. Start Actors (scrapers). Each run spends your Apify credits. Stop a run that is going.

Add tools to the URL to give it less, for example https://mcp.apify.com?tools=actors,docs. In ChatGPT you can't change the tools after you create it, so make a new one. A scoped token also limits what Grok Bot can do.
