Contact data tools ranked

Nine tools for finding B2B emails and phone numbers, ranked from our own calls, with prices checked Oct 28, 2026 and public reviews.

Short answer

Which tool should I use to find emails and phone numbers for B2B leads?

Try Prospeo first. It's our main source for work emails and mobiles, it has a free plan, and in our own calls from Feb to Aug 2026 its leads turned into real conversations more often than Wiza's. Wiza, FullEnrich, Landbase, Apollo and Lusha are solid for different jobs. Skip Get Leads, Clay and ZoomInfo unless you fit the narrow case we list for each.

This ranking comes from Coda, Corey Leon's team of Canadian and U.S. cold callers. No paid links. No tool paid to be here.

Steps

  1. 1

Test it with your own list, not their demo.

Pick 50 real people you'd actually call. Demos use the records that look good.

  2. 2

    Check 50 contacts by hand.

Call each number or look up each person. Write down right number, wrong person, dead line, or left the company.

  3. 3

Pay month to month or pay as you go first.

Don't sign a yearly deal until the 50 check passes.

  4. 4

Drop it if more than 20% is wrong.

That's Kevin Hopp's rule. If 11 of your 50 are bad, move on.

  5. 5

Trust the call over the label.

A "verified" email can still bounce. A bounce or a wrong person on the phone is the truth.

The ranking

Prospeo: try first

  • What it does: Finds a person's work email and mobile from their name and company or LinkedIn link.
  • Price: Free plan with 100 credits a month. Paid from $49 a month (our tool page, Oct 2026).
  • Fits: Anyone who calls or emails B2B buyers.
  • Skip it if: You only need company names, not people.

Our review: Prospeo, 4 out of 5

Our main source for verified email and mobile. 4.9% of about 16,000 dials on Prospeo leads became a real conversation of 60+ seconds. One email it marked verified still bounced.

Corey Leon, Coda, Feb to Aug 2026

  • What people say: Trustpilot: TrustScore 4.6 out of 5 from 132 reviews (read Oct 28, 2026). "Easy to navigate and produces accurate contact research output." (Trustpilot review). "They are awful at due diligence." (Trustpilot review). Most common praise: easy to use and opens doors to people. Most common complaint: wrong or old details about a company.

Wiza: solid

  • What it does: Turns LinkedIn searches and profiles into emails and phone numbers.
  • Price: Free (20 emails, 5 phones). Individual Email + Phone $166 a month. Team Starter $49 a month for 100 emails and 100 phones (checked Oct 28, 2026).
  • Fits: Teams that live in LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Skip it if: You need a big list cheap.

Our review: Wiza, 3 out of 5

Our second source to double check mobiles. All 500 numbers we checked were real mobiles. But 3.5% of about 3,700 dials on Wiza leads became a real conversation, vs 4.9% for Prospeo.

Corey Leon, Coda, Feb to Aug 2026

  • What people say: Trustpilot: TrustScore 1.8 out of 5 from 14 reviews (read Oct 28, 2026). "Wrong information. Not my company anymore and my education is incorrect" (Trustpilot review). Most common praise: none on that page, all 14 were 1 star. Most common complaint: people upset that their own details were in the data. Those read like people being looked up, not paying users.

FullEnrich: solid

  • What it does: Checks many data sources in a row to find an email or phone (a "waterfall").
  • Price: Free trial with 50 credits. Pro $55 a month for 1,000 credits. A work email is 1 credit, a mobile is 10 (checked Oct 28, 2026).
  • Fits: People who want one tool that tries several data sources.
  • Skip it if: You mostly need mobiles and have a tight budget.

Our review: FullEnrich, 3 out of 5

We've used it for small email batches. We have not compared its phones to Prospeo's on our own calls.

Corey Leon, Coda, 2026

  • What people say: Product Hunt: 4.7 out of 5 from 32 reviews. Trustpilot: TrustScore 2.1 out of 5 from 22 reviews (both read Oct 28, 2026). "Easy to use directly from LinkedIn to scrape prospect lists in minutes." (Product Hunt review). Most common praise: fast and simple. Most common complaint: people whose phone number showed up without their consent.

Landbase: solid for building a list

  • What it does: Finds companies and people from a plain English description.
  • Price: Free start with credits. Paid plans $499, $1,999 and $4,999 a month (checked Oct 28, 2026).
  • Fits: List building by signal, like "hiring a sales rep."
  • Skip it if: You need phone numbers right away.

Our review: Landbase, 3 out of 5

Searching was free for us and one search returned over 6,000 owners at small companies with a sales job posted. Emails need a separate paid enrich step.

Corey Leon, Coda, 2026

  • What people say: We couldn't read public reviews for this one today. G2 and Capterra blocked us and we found no Trustpilot page.

Apollo: solid for starting out

  • What it does: Search, contact data and email sending in one place.
  • Price: Has a free plan. Paid plans are Basic, Professional and Custom. Their page showed no dollar amounts on Oct 28, 2026.
  • Fits: A solo seller who wants one cheap tool to start.
  • Skip it if: You need mobiles that pick up. Test 50 first.
  • We haven't used this one yet.
  • What people say: Trustpilot: TrustScore 3.1 out of 5 from 1,382 reviews (read Oct 28, 2026). "Support was bad, they did not give any resolution" (Trustpilot review). Most common praise: easy to learn and helpful reps. Most common complaint: slow or unhelpful support.

Lusha: solid for one at a time lookups

  • What it does: Looks up a person's email and phone, mostly through its Chrome extension.
  • Price: Free 40 credits a month. Starter $49.90 a month (400 credits). Pro $69.90 (600 credits). Premium $399.90 (checked Oct 28, 2026).
  • Fits: A rep who looks up a few people a day.
  • Skip it if: You build lists of thousands.
  • We haven't used this one yet.
  • What people say: Trustpilot: TrustScore 1.2 out of 5 from 782 reviews (read Oct 28, 2026). "As an actual user, I had a great experience with their customer service team." (Trustpilot review). Most common praise: good service from the few paying users who posted. Most common complaint: people whose own phone number was in the data.

Get Leads: skip unless LinkedIn data is all you need

  • What it does: Pulls LinkedIn data into AI tools like Claude or Grok Bot through an MCP (a plug for AI tools).
  • Price: We couldn't find a public pricing page. A peer told us on Oct 28, 2026 it's about $120 a month for unlimited LinkedIn data.
  • Fits: People who pull lots of LinkedIn data into Claude or Grok Bot.
  • Skip it if: You need phones and emails for most of your list. The same peer said it found them for about half.
  • We haven't used this one yet. More in our Get Leads post.
  • What people say: We couldn't read public reviews for this one today.

Clay: skip unless you have someone to build and run it

  • What it does: A spreadsheet that pulls from many data tools and AI.
  • Price: Free (100 data credits). Launch $167 a month. Growth $446 a month on the plan cards Oct 28, 2026. Their FAQ showed $185 and $495, so check.
  • Fits: Teams with an ops person who likes building.
  • Skip it if: You want results this week without learning a new tool. We don't use it. We'd rather run fewer tools.
  • We haven't used this one yet.
  • What people say: Trustpilot: TrustScore 2.8 out of 5 from 26 reviews (read Oct 28, 2026). "Extremely difficult to use, not intuitive at all." (Trustpilot review). Most common praise: powerful for lead lists and campaigns. Most common complaint: hard to learn and slow support.

ZoomInfo: skip unless you're a bigger team with budget

  • What it does: A large contact and company database.
  • Price: No public price. You talk to their sales team (checked Oct 28, 2026).
  • Fits: Larger sales teams with a data budget.
  • Skip it if: You're a small team or want to pay as you go.
  • We haven't used this one yet.
  • What people say: Trustpilot: TrustScore 1.6 out of 5 from 340 reviews (read Oct 28, 2026). "Terrible service, extremely difficult to cancel contracts." (Trustpilot review). Most common praise: good product and people. Most common complaint: hard to cancel, plus people whose own number was in the data.

A note on Trustpilot: for data tools, a lot of low scores come from people who found their own details in the database, not from people who paid for the tool. Read the words, not just the stars.

Prompts you can copy

Score a 50 contact test

PromptPaste into any AI
You are helping me test a contact data tool. Below are 50 contacts I checked by hand. Each row has name, company, the email and phone the tool gave me, and my result: right person, wrong person, dead line, left company, or email bounced.

Count each result. Tell me the percent that was wrong. If more than 20% is wrong, say "drop it" in the first line. Then list the 3 most common problems in plain words.

[paste rows]

Compare two tools on the same list

PromptPaste into any AI
I ran the same 50 people through [tool A] and [tool B]. For each person I have what each tool found and what I learned when I called or emailed.

Make a short table: found email, found mobile, mobile was right, email bounced, for each tool. Then tell me in 3 sentences which one did better on my list and what I should test next. Don't guess about anything not in my data.

Questions for the sales rep before you buy

PromptPaste into any AI
I'm about to talk to a sales rep for [tool name], a contact data tool. I sell to [who you sell to] in [country or region].

Write 8 short questions I should ask. Cover: month to month vs yearly, what happens to unused credits, how they mark a number as a mobile, what a credit costs for an email vs a phone, how I get credits back for bad data, and whether pulling a list costs credits even if I don't export it.

FAQ

Is a "verified" email safe to send to?

Mostly, but not always. We had an email Prospeo still marked verified that bounced. If it bounces, take it off your list no matter what the label says.

Should I use two data tools?

It can help. We use Wiza as a second source to double check mobiles. Run your 50 contact test on both before paying for two.

Why don't you rank ZoomInfo higher?

We haven't used it, it has no public price, and you have to talk to sales to buy. For a small team that wants to pay as you go, that's a lot of friction.

How do I know if a phone number is a mobile?

A phone check tool like Trestle tells you if a number is a mobile, landline or internet line. Calling it is still the final test.

Rather have it done for you? We build the system that handles your outreach, one time, and you own it. See how it works.
