Steps

   Test it with your own work, not their demo.

   Take 10 real emails you need to write and 5 real call notes. Run the same ones through each assistant on its free plan.

   Use the same prompt in each.

   Copy one prompt word for word into Claude and ChatGPT. Different prompts make the test unfair.

3. 3

   Check 50 answers by hand.

   Over a week, read 50 outputs closely. Would you send that email? Is every fact in that summary really in the notes? Mark each one right or wrong.

   Pay month to month first.

   All three let you start monthly. Don't buy a yearly plan until one has earned a spot in your day.

   Drop it if more than 20% is wrong.

   That's Kevin Hopp's rule. If more than 10 of your 50 answers had made up facts or needed a full rewrite, move on.

   Add Grok Bot only when you have a job that repeats.

   If you catch yourself doing the same research or report every morning, that's the job to hand it.

• Fits: Anyone who already has it and knows how to use it.
• Skip it if: You keep rewriting its drafts because they don't sound like you. Try Claude on the same prompt.

Grok Bot: solid

• What it does: An AI agent with its own computer in the cloud, so it keeps working while your laptop is closed.
• Price: Needs Grok Premium, $30 a month or more (our tool page, Oct 2026).
• Fits: People with a job that repeats on a schedule, like a morning research list or a daily report.
• Skip it if: You only need help writing one email at a time. A chat assistant does that for less.

• What people say: Trustpilot: 1.7 out of 5 from 18 reviews (read Oct 28, 2026, Trustpilot page). That page covers xAI as a company, not only Grok Bot.

Do I need to pay for any of these?

Claude and ChatGPT both have free plans that are fine for testing. Pay for one once you use it every day. Grok Bot needs Grok Premium.

Should I pay for Claude and ChatGPT both?

Most sellers don't need both. Run the same 10 emails through each, keep the one you edit less, and cancel the other.

Is Grok Bot the same as the Grok chat?

No. Grok Bot is an agent with its own computer in the cloud that works on tasks while you're away. You need Grok Premium to use it.

Is it safe to paste customer info into these?

Keep private details like account numbers, personal phone numbers and payment info out. Read what not to paste into AI before you start.
