Question: Which LinkedIn tools should I use for sales outreach?

For LinkedIn sales outreach, try Kondo first if your problem is a messy inbox and missed replies, and add PhantomBuster if you need to export Sales Navigator searches and send a few connection requests a day. HeyReach is solid if you run many LinkedIn accounts, like an agency. Skip Unipile unless you are building your own tool, and Needle is too new to rank. No paid links. No tool paid to be here.

## Steps

1. **Pick the one job you need done.** Inbox and follow up, list export, or campaigns across many senders. Each tool here does one of those well.
2. **Test it with your own list, not their demo.** Use 50 real people you would actually reach out to.
3. **Check 50 contacts by hand.** Open each profile or call each person. Is the name, title and company still right?
4. **Pay month to month first.** Use the free trial or a monthly plan before you sign a yearly deal.
5. **Drop it if more than 20% is wrong.** That's Kevin Hopp's rule. If 11 of your 50 are wrong, move on.
6. **Go slow on sending.** We send about 15 connection requests a day with no pitch in the note. Fewer, better requests keep your account safe.

## The ranking

### Kondo: try first

- **What it does:** Puts labels, reminders and saved replies on your LinkedIn inbox so you stop losing conversations.
- **Price:** Business $45 a month is the cheapest plan with the Claude plug (our tool page, Oct 2026).
- **Fits:** Anyone who gets real replies on LinkedIn and needs to answer them on time.
- **Skip it if:** You want a tool that sends messages for you. Kondo is for the inbox.

```review
tool: Kondo
url: https://www.trykondo.com
rating: 4
when: Oct 2026
text: We use it to run our LinkedIn inbox. Labels and reminders keep replies from slipping through the cracks.
```

- **What people say:** Product Hunt: 1.0 out of 5 from 1 review (read Oct 28, 2026, [Product Hunt](https://www.producthunt.com/products/kondo/reviews)). G2 showed 0 reviews (read Oct 28, 2026, [G2](https://www.g2.com/sellers/kondo)). Trustpilot showed 0 reviews (read Oct 28, 2026, [Trustpilot](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/trykondo.com)). With one public review, there isn't enough to go on yet.
- Most common praise: not enough public reviews to say.
- Most common complaint: not enough public reviews to say.

### PhantomBuster: solid

- **What it does:** Robots that export Sales Navigator searches and send a few connection requests a day.
- **Price:** Start $69 a month. The free trial exports only 10 rows (our tool page, Oct 2026).
- **Fits:** Sellers who build lists from Sales Navigator and want connection requests sent on a schedule.
- **Skip it if:** You don't use Sales Navigator, or you want to blast hundreds of requests a day.

```review
tool: PhantomBuster
url: https://phantombuster.com
rating: 4
when: Oct 2026
text: We use it to send about 15 connection requests a day with no pitch in the note. It does that job well once set up.
```

- **What people say:** Product Hunt: 4.8 out of 5 from 28 reviews (read Oct 28, 2026, [Product Hunt](https://www.producthunt.com/products/phantombuster/reviews)). Trustpilot: 3.4 from 114 reviews (read Oct 28, 2026, [Trustpilot](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/phantombuster.com)). G2 compare pages in search results showed 4.4 out of 5 from 138 reviews (read Oct 28, 2026, [G2](https://www.g2.com/compare/phantombuster-vs-zoominfo-sales)).
- "it does the job well and reliably." ([Trustpilot review](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/phantombuster.com))
- "Horrible Support that takes days to respond." ([Trustpilot review](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/phantombuster.com))
- Most common praise: easy to set up, and the robots run fast once they're going.
- Most common complaint: slow support, plus some people report LinkedIn account warnings.

### HeyReach: solid

- **What it does:** Runs LinkedIn campaigns across several sender accounts from one place.
- **Price:** Growth $79 a month per sender. Agency $999 a month for 25 senders (checked Oct 28, 2026).
- **Fits:** Agencies and teams running many LinkedIn accounts at once.
- **Skip it if:** You're one person with one LinkedIn account.
- We haven't used this one yet.
- **What people say:** Trustpilot: 4.1 from 52 reviews (read Oct 28, 2026, [Trustpilot](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/heyreach.io)). Product Hunt: 5.0 from 2 reviews (read Oct 28, 2026, [Product Hunt](https://www.producthunt.com/products/heyreach/reviews)). G2 compare pages in search results showed 4.7 out of 5 from 69 ratings (read Oct 28, 2026, [G2](https://www.g2.com/compare/closely-vs-heyreach)).
- "Unified inbox + Clay integration = chef's kiss." ([Trustpilot review](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/heyreach.io))
- Most common praise: one inbox for all senders, and helpful support.
- Most common complaint: support has gotten slower for some people, plus a few bugs.

### Unipile: skip unless you're building your own tool

- **What it does:** An API that connects LinkedIn, email and WhatsApp accounts to software you build.
- **Price:** From 49 euros a month for up to 10 accounts (about $55), then about 5 euros an account (checked Oct 28, 2026).
- **Fits:** Developers building their own outreach app.
- **Skip it if:** You want to log in and click buttons. There's no campaign screen for a seller.
- We haven't used this one yet.
- **What people say:** A search result for G2's page showed about 4.3 out of 5 from 15 reviews (read Oct 28, 2026, [G2](https://www.g2.com/products/Unipile/reviews)). We couldn't open the reviews themselves today, so we have no quotes.
- Most common praise: G2's summary points to easy setup.
- Most common complaint: too few public reviews to say.

### Needle: too new to rank

- **What it does:** An outbound tool that plugs into AI agents like Claude Code and Grok Bot.
- **Price:** We couldn't confirm a price on their own site.
- **Fits:** People who already run their work through an AI agent.
- **Skip it if:** You want something proven. It launched on Product Hunt on Oct 21, 2026.
- We signed up on Oct 28, 2026 to test it. We'll update this.
- **What people say:** Product Hunt: 4.6 from 8 reviews (read Oct 28, 2026, [Product Hunt](https://www.producthunt.com/products/needle-3/reviews)). Some of those reviews are about an older Needle product, so don't lean on that number.

## Prompts you can copy

### Check a sample of 50 LinkedIn contacts

```prompt
You are helping me check a LinkedIn list before I reach out. Here are 50 rows with name, title, company and LinkedIn link: [paste rows].
For each row, tell me what to check by hand on the profile: is the person still at this company, is the title close to [the buyer title I want], and is the company the right size and industry for [what I sell]. Give me a simple table with columns: name, what to check, and a keep or drop box. At the end, remind me to drop the tool if more than 10 of the 50 are wrong.
```

### Write the questions to ask a sales rep before buying

```prompt
I'm thinking about buying [tool name] for LinkedIn outreach. I'm a [your job] at a [type of company] and I want it to [the one job I need done].
Write 8 short, plain questions I should ask their sales rep. Cover price per month and per sender, whether I can pay month to month, how they keep my LinkedIn account safe, what happens if LinkedIn flags my account, how fast support answers, and how to cancel. No fluff.
```

### Compare two tools after a test

```prompt
I tested two LinkedIn tools on the same 50 people. Here are my notes for [tool A]: [paste notes]. Here are my notes for [tool B]: [paste notes].
Make a short side by side: what each got right, what each got wrong, time it took me, and cost per month. Then tell me which one to keep for [the job I need] in two sentences. Only use what is in my notes.
```

## FAQ

### Will these tools get my LinkedIn account banned?

Any tool that sends for you carries some risk. Keep it slow, like our 15 connection requests a day, and don't pitch in the note.

### Do I need Sales Navigator?

For PhantomBuster's search exports, yes. Kondo works on your normal LinkedIn inbox.

### Can I use more than one of these?

Yes. They do different jobs. We use PhantomBuster to send requests and Kondo to handle the replies.

### Why is Needle not ranked?

It's brand new and we only signed up today. We rank tools after we've used them or after there are enough public reviews to trust.
